Who to send

The introduction that works

If one of these sentences describes a client of yours, the introduction is worth making. If none of them do, it probably is not — and we would rather you kept your credibility for the next one.

Send us

“They’ve outgrown their bookkeeper”

The books close, more or less, but nobody senior is interpreting them and the owner has stopped trusting what comes out.

Send us

“They’re raising and the model won’t survive diligence”

A round is coming and the financial model was built by three people in three styles. This is a two-to-six week sprint for us.

Send us

“Their audit is going to be painful”

First audit, a new auditor, or a request list that already looks unanswerable. Best addressed a quarter before it starts.

Send us

“The board keeps asking for things they can’t produce”

Reporting is late, thin, or arrives after the decision. Usually the fastest visible win for your client.

Send us

“Their finance lead just left”

Payroll still runs but nobody is steering. We can be embedded within a fortnight and hand over cleanly to the permanent hire.

Please don’t send us

Pure bookkeeping, or a company that needs a full-time CFO today

We will say so on the first call and point them somewhere better — but you can save everyone the round trip.

What happens next

What your client experiences

Your name is attached to this. Here is exactly what it buys them, step by step, so there are no surprises attributed to you.

Same day

We reply

A partner — not an assistant, not a form response — reaches out to your client the same business day, referencing you by name.

→ You are copied
Within a week

Thirty minutes

A discovery call with the partner who would lead the work. Diagnostic, not a pitch. No deck and no sales team.

→ A plain read on the situation
48 hours after

You hear back

A short note telling you whether we are engaging, what we would do, or why we said no and where we sent them instead.

→ No black box
Ongoing

Your relationship stays yours

We do not compete with your services and we do not attempt to displace you. When our work surfaces something legal, tax or transactional, it goes back to you.

→ Work flows both ways
Our referral policy

No fees. On purpose.

We do not pay referral commissions and we do not accept them. A payment turns a professional recommendation into a sales channel, and every party in the room can feel it.

What we offer instead is reciprocity and information: work referred back where it belongs, an honest answer about every client you send, and a partner who will take a diagnostic call with one of your clients as a favour to you, whether or not it ever becomes an engagement.

Source-tagged linksAsk for a tagged link and we can see — and thank you for — every client who arrives through you.
Co-branded material on requestA one-page explainer for your client, with your name on it, if that helps you make the introduction.
Office hours for your portfolioFor accelerators and funds: a standing block where portfolio companies can bring finance questions to a partner.
Client confidentiality holds regardlessWe will tell you that an engagement started. What happens inside it stays inside it, unless your client says otherwise.
Make an introduction

Two lines is enough

You do not need a form. An email to a partner saying “this is a client of mine, here is roughly what is going on” is the fastest route, and we will take it from there the same day.

If a form is easier — or if you would rather we approach them — use the one alongside. Nothing is sent to your client until you say so.

Refer a client — mock-up form

Mock-up only — this form is not wired to anything. At launch it routes to a partner and copies you, and nothing reaches your client without your say-so.

For finance professionals

Joining the specialist bench

We deploy senior specialists engagement by engagement rather than carrying headcount — tax, technical accounting, controller-level execution and industry operators. If that is the kind of work you want, and you have the record to go with it, we would like to know you before we need you.

What we expect: senior judgment, work that arrives when it was promised, and comfort operating inside a governed process with documented assumptions and a partner signing off. What you get: scoped, well-briefed engagements with a clear counterpart and no business development required of you.

How it works

Engagement by engagement

A written scope, an agreed rate, a named partner accountable to the client. You do the specialist work; we hold the relationship.

What we look for

People we would put in front of a board

Depth in one thing rather than breadth in everything, and a track record someone we trust can vouch for.

Terms

Simple and standard

Contractor agreement, per-engagement statement of work, rate card agreed in advance. $150–$400 an hour depending on the discipline.

Next step

Have a client in mind right now?

Send two lines. Or take a call yourself first — plenty of referral partners want to test the firm on their own before putting a client into it. That is entirely reasonable.
